At each site we assemble a group of 30 young leaders who represent geographic, economic, cultural, and ethnic diversity - and provide training experiences around the 4 pillars of Servant Leadership, Spiritual Formation, Cultural Awareness, and Calling.
The purpose of SLP to develop and equip cross-cultural servant leaders to shape the changing world of tomorrow. We want to help emerging leaders unlock their gifts and talents so they can lean into God's calling for their lives.
We want to inspire young leaders to see the world through the eyes of Christ and be the change agents God has called us to be.
IF ACCEPTED, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO WORK WITH YOUR LOCAL AREA TO HELP COVER THE COSTS AND FUNDRAISE FOR SLP.
The disciples not only witnessed Jesus at work, they participated. Jesus trained His disciples then sent them out to be transformed by their service to others. At SLP, the we will look to Christ as an example of a servant leader and then step into service learning experiences.
The connection Jesus had to the Father empowered Him to carry out the Father’s will here on earth. At SLP, we will walk through a daily devotional each morning, participate in small group prayer, attend a worship service, and explore several different spiritual practices.
At SLP, you will become more aware of the lenses you use to navigate the world. Throughout the SLP experience you will be challenged to see things through the lenses of your peers. We will explore the life of Christ and seek to grow in our understanding of the kingdom lens that Jesus saw the world through.
We each have unique passions, gifts, and talents. Our life story shapes how we use those passions, gifts, and talents to serve God. At SLP, you will have time to reflect on your life experiences in order to see where God may be leading you in the chapter of your story.
